I know, I know, I live in Minnesota and we get snow. And it gets cold. And it’s like this for like half the year, but seriously, this is a bit much now. Last night we got a staggering 11 inches of snow here plus the wicked wind made drifts over 2 feet tall on our freshly cleaned driveway that Patrick worked on 3 times yesterday. This morning we woke up to the drifts and a snowplow pile that was second to none. It was nearly 3 feet tall of packed snow. Thank you Mother Nature, now our snow piles are a serious safety hazard being as they are well over 5 feet tall. This is what it looks like out our front window these days…
That’s our beloved curly golden willow all bent over. She’s generally about 6 feet tall…
This shows the pile at the end of the driveway and also the snowbank heights both at our house and at our neighbor’s house. Ours can be a bit deceiving since it’s on a hill but their driveway is flat and shows the heights versus a regular height pick up truck.
And just another one of our view
I’m over this. Clearly that doesn’t matter though because I can be over it as much as I am and more and even if the weather shapes up tomorrow we have a LONG time to go before we see green out our window. I’ll try to remember this moment when I see green for the first time and do a flashback to this day and be thankful for the nice weather we’ll be having even if I don’t feel it’s nice on that day 🙂
For now though I’ll have to think back to this and remember the joy that we once felt for this white stuff…
I think that Happy Holidays sign is still out there, though it hasn’t been seen since at least my birthday…hmm.
One more pic – Sig with my ear muffs on 🙂
