Merry Christmas!

This quote about sums up my feelings about this Christmas:

“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.”

– Laura Ingalls Wilder

We are reminded that children are happiest when you get silly with them! I got an owl hat as an early Christmas present and Sig thinks it’s the coolest thing that we now have matching hats and I enjoy it too, even if I get strange looks when wearing it without her beside me!

IMG_8366We are reminded that sometimes it’s ok to eat a whole candy dish of M&M’s before dinner (thanks Papa for showing Sig where she can get them herself 🙂 )

IMG_8369We must remember that our parents dressed us up in silly outfits so we get to do it to our children too because they’re not silly when they look so darn adorable (love you Flynn!)

IMG_8378We are reminded that sometimes seeing your Grandpa unexpectedly can make you feel like a kid again, even when you’re not really a kid anymore 🙂

IMG_8377Heck, even when you are a kid it’s still the highlight of your day!

The innocence of children is one of our greatest reminders of how precious life is.

IMG_8379 IMG_8382Our biggest Christmas blessing is definitely our family. No matter how close or how far, our family is our gift from God and I’m happy we got to celebrate Jesus’s birthday with them – in person, via phone or Skype.

Much love

Nat, Patrick and Sig
